Quality over Quantity | Investment Clothing

15.JPG

Quality over quantity is my mantra for my lifestyle, particularly my wardrobe. I have been this way since I can remember. That’s not to say an item must be name brand or expensive to last or be good quality; but there is something to be said for purchasing solid investment pieces.

In addition to typically investing in accessories, handbags, and shoes, I also buy quality clothing; but I do so strategically. First, I purchase colors and styles that I know will be around a while, I buy very few if any trendy pieces that are high-end. Second, I find everything on SALE! Clothing no matter the designer almost always goes on sale, be patient, the price will drop. Last, I focus on basics that I wear on a daily and are consistent “go to’s” I know I'll get my money’s worth by buying one quality item instead of a dozen cheaper one’s that will fade or get worn out quickly.

Here is a short list of my go to brands for quality basics, investment pieces, and wardrobe staples at some what reasonable prices: Reiss, Rag and Bone, Vince, Splendid, Joie, Sandro, Free People, AllSaints, Club Monaco. I also love Ruelala and ShopBop.

Investment Basics - These are pieces that will last years to come, great for layering, last minute plans, ideal for travel (easy to mix and match so you can pack light)l, and perfect for pairing with trendy items and statement pieces .
