Bubbles, Brunch, and Boss Babes.
This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the launch of The Bubble Exchange; its creator, Tomi Gilliam, is a pharmacist turned entrepreneur. Gilliam identified the need for more collaboration and less competition between women in the city; so she decided to develop a space to bring together ambitious females by providing a face to face social networking experience, and thus, The Bubble Exchange was born.
The invitation only immersive brunch is a chance for young professional women in New Orleans to discuss ideas, exchange opinions, and develop potential business and community outreach opportunities.
The private location was a delicate combination of rustic and contemporary while retaining a classic New Orleans ambiance. The room was filled with areas for mingling, there was even a champong table (beer pong + champagne - beer = champong). A beautiful translucent balloon wall created a “champagne bubble” backdrop for the ever essential instagram selfie and group pictures. Light brunch was provided, as well as a full service mimosa bar, and dessert table. Overall I enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet new people. I am looking forward to the next Bubble Exchange, and seeing this society grow.
