Suistudio Review | Suitsupply

I finally had the chance to get my hands on SUISTUDIO, the sister company to SUITSUPPLY launched in 2017. Following in the footsteps of it’s big brother, the brand specializes in suits, blazers, coats, and work wear.

I had a great experience at the SoHo location in New York City. The contemporary boutique decor is chic and fun, reflecting the fashion forward twist on classic tailoring that I’ve come to expect from SUITSUPPLY. Bright chairs and loveseats are perfectly placed on patterned carpets and floor to ceiling photographs of well dressed models line the walls.

It’s evident the brand aims to deliver the most personal experience possible from a ready to line by the attention to detail. The ladies working in the store, dressed in head to toe SUISTUDIO, are helpful but more importantly, knowledgeable about the clothing. From fit to fabric and everything in between, I truly enjoyed myself and I look forward to exploring more from the brand and visiting other locations.

I was looking for a double breasted coat, something lightweight and full length for spring and fall. Initially, I tried on a brown plaid style I really liked, the fit was good and although it is a timeless piece, I prefer something more versatile, so decided on the tan color, it is fully lined and pure camel.

Conveniently, the store provides in-house tailoring; my jacket needed the sleeves lengthened, and due to the fact I was traveling my alterations were “rushed” and impressively ready in about 40 minutes for me to take home.

I also purchased this knit sweater from SUISTUDIO. It’s an alpaca wool blend and layers under the coat well.

This coat is the perfect compliment to a suit, but also easy to throw on with a pair of jeans to elevate a laid back look.
