Recently I finished a book that helped me put words to the feeling I have always known about mornings. “The Miracle Morning” written by Hal Elrod is a quick but very insightful read. It gives step by step instruction as to how to maximize your time to work towards becoming a better version of yourself; it’s not a course, rather it serves as a guideline to develop disciple and habits for an overall lifestyle change.
What I enjoy most about white linen night is the style, it’s not the typical “free spirit” fashion fest we have become so accustomed to. White Linen night requires a more refined sophistication. Although, as the name suggests, linen is the fabric of choice for this event, most people opt for anything breathable. The options for putting your own twist on this are endless, but here are a few Chic Script suggestions.
Passion Lilie creates clothing from sustainable organic, pesticide-free, non-GMO cotton. “At every step in the supply chain, we make sure we are using sustainable materials to reduce our impact on the environment.” But echo friendly clothing is just a part of what Passion Lilie represents as a brand.
I choose my pieces for The Chic Script Boutique like I choose my wardrobe, timeless style, that’s versatile, comfortable, and chic. “Super Soul Conversations”: This is just a no brainer, I mean, everyone loves Oprah and if you are a podcast listener, then you’re most likely already subscribed. Oprah interview authors, actors, politicians, religious leaders, and everything in between.
“Elevation with Steven Furtick”: I’ve been watching elevation worship service and Pastor Furtick’s sermons for a while now. Because I enjoy watching his sermons so much, the podcast was a natural subscription for me.
“How I Built This” with Guy Raz: Innovators, entrepreneurs, idealists and the ideas they built.
Spring is under way and I am enjoying every moment! The weather has been absolutely perfect lately, not too warm not too chilly, and the sun is just beaming. I walked around this French quarter this weekend and took full advantage of a beautiful day. I finally had the change to wear my overall dress I purchased from a warehouse sale last fall. I wanted to style it in the cooler months with a sweater and tights but I love it over a comfy tee as well, Ill be getting a lot of use out of it this summer!
I had the pleasure of attending a Jimmy Choo luncheon to unveil the Made to Order Pop up that will be available in stores for a short time. The Made to Order by Jimmy Choo is not new, the line has been available for a while and is perfect for a special occasion. I considered getting my own wedding shows designed because there is a plaque you can place on the underside of the show that displays a whatever date or initials you want, it’s a great why to have a tasteful monogram to commemorate a special day. Being able to pick out every detail in store is a really great chance to get your hands on a pair if you’ve been contemplating. The Made to Order line consists of select heels, flats, and handbags.
Outline your goals and work backwards, each step needed to get to the next level and make a conscience effort to complete the task. Documenting and executing brings clarity and a sense of accomplishment, it’s somewhat like an evolving business plan, dreams and goals are dynamic, they change and shift as we grow. “Stop being reactive, and start being proactive.”

Sometimes while reading I come across a teaching or a quote that resonates deeply, that feeling of “this me, I needs this” sets in and I spend a little more time applying the lesson to my daily life.
Two quotes that have stuck with me throughout the course are: "Nothing can hurt you unless you give it the power to do so." And "Teach no one he has hurt you, for if you do, you teach yourself that what is not of God has power over you. The two quotes about power struck a chord with me; often times in life we are put in situations that make us feel attacked and vulnerable and we act out in self defense and fear.
I’ve been a pharmacist almost two years now, and although that is a short time, I have learned so much. Not just the clinical knowledge gained from working as a hospital pharmacist, or the operational skills acquired from being part of such an intense work flow…but l have been challenged and developed in areas that shape the world outside of my career. These are the 5 skills being a pharmacist has taught me that I’m learning to utilized in my day to day life.

We are in the midst of shoulder season, spring is in the horizon and but winter is still trying to told on. Every morning I wake up I have no idea what the temperature is going to be, it’s fluctuating all over the place and this is the perfect time of year to play with layers because the day to (even hour to hour) weather is so inconsistent. One of my go to way to layer is belting a scarf, it’s to functional and versatile. This look add depth to basics and refresh your wardrobe.
I finally had the chance to get my hands on SUISTUDIO, the sister company to SUITSUPPLY launched in 2017. Following in the footsteps of it’s big brother, the brand specializes in suits, blazers, jackets, and work wear. The SUITSTUIDO’s contemporary boutique decor is chic and fun, reflecting the fashion forward twist on tailored that I’ve come to expect from SUITSUPPLY.
Valentine’s day always sneaks up on me. By the end of January I m completely over shopping and usually broke from Christmas and the New Years sales. The last think on my mind is spending money. Then, February comes into the horizon, and every year I’m unprepared, running out February 13th last minute trying to find a card and something clever for my significant other. But not this year, this year , this year I ‘m prepared and weather your purchasing for your husband, boyfriend, or best friends I’ve got you covered, plus a little extra
The Oleander art gallery, located in the heart of the French Quarter hosts local artists.
